The Switch to Blades - An overview with cost justification

Presentation Description:
Blade servers have captured industry focus because of their modular design, which can reduce cost with a more efficient use of floor space, and its simplified management, which can help to speed up such tasks as deploying, re-provisioning, updating, and troubleshooting numerous blade servers. Also, blade servers provide improved performance by doubling current rack density. By integrating resources and sharing key components, not only will costs be reduced but also availability will be increased. While Blade technology has previously been used by only large organizations, today it can be used by small and mid-sized organizations, and with PowerBlades, it can even be used by AS/400 shops to simplify administration and consolidate servers.
