Screen Mapping

Presentation Description:
Within your company’s ongoing operations you may face integration challenges such as finding ways to safely upload data on an on-going basis from spreadsheets, text documents, EDI, mobile systems, etc. In times such as when a new business is acquired, integrating data from another ERP into your systems many lead you to the daunting task of a data conversion from a non-iSeries platform.
The Nutech Screen Mapper is a tool that can be used to easily move data into your iSeries/400 ERP screens from any source. As well as being used as a backend integration tool for Viewpoint, Nutech data collection software, some users have used the Screen Mapper to update their ERP system with data from other applications. Sources may include other platforms such as Windows, UNIX and mainframe systems. The Screen Mapper is an alternative approach to importing data into your iSeries/400-based software directly through your existing data entry screen. This approach in many cases is an easier and safer way to import data then you may have ever had available to you in the past.
During this session, we will review:
• How to create your own screen map with the Code Generator
• How to create your own screen map manually using ILE APIs
• Standard ERP interface examples
• Transaction Manager control
• Error control in your screen mapping program
Take advantage of the opportunity to discuss your upcoming projects and requirements to see how the Nutech Screen Mapper can help your organization import data into your systems directly through your existing iSeries based applications without the worry of corrupting your DB/400 database.
