What’s New in programming CL on the System i.

Presentation Description:
Releases V5R3 and V5R4 of the System i have brought significant new enhancements to the CL programming language. At last count, there were over fifty new commands and over four times that many CL commands which were updated for V5R3. V5R4 had similar numbers. What’s different is that several of those new and changed commands are only valid in CL programs. Strange as it may sound to veteran CL application developers, CL has been enhanced as an application development language. V6R1 promises even more.
In our next meeting Jared Gerber will walk us through many of the new commands that are valid only in CL programs. These new commands will revolutionize your CL programming, making them easier to write and maintain. Join us for an evening of great food, good fellowship, and a presentation that will hopefully stimulate your CL coding taste buds.
