Presentation Description:
Enterprise Generation Language is IBM Rational's new strategic application construction technology. It's a new language designed specifically to enable business oriented application developers like RPG or COBOL developers, with little or no experience in Java or Web Technologies to create enterprise-class applications and services quickly and easily. In this session learn more about how to use this robust high-level language to enable you to create business solutions that fully support WebSphere and SOA technology including Web development, batch and 5250 applications and allow you to leverage your current RPG or COBOL programs.

About our Speaker for November 14th:
Linda Cole’s current assignment is with the IBM Toronto Lab as a Software Engineer. Linda is part of the Rational Ecosystem Team responsible for supporting System i. Most recently she was a Marketing Manager, working with over 120 IBM Business Partners in the System i Tools Initiatives for Innovation Program. She spent the previous six years with the Toronto Lab in several WebSphere iSeries Technical and Marketing postions. In her 30 years with IBM, she has had a variety of assignments including technical support, education, consulting, sales and marketing roles. Linda has an extensive background in iSeries and AS400 dating back to 1988 and specialized in WebSphere offerings, Application Development & Business Intelligence.
