RPG and Java Interoperability

Presentation Description:
There are a plethora of java functions out there available for use. And you can call them from your RPG programs.
Samples include:
- Reading/writing Excel spreadsheets
- Reading/writing data from SQL Server (which Dekko contracted Joe to do)
Joe will cover:
- Calling RPG from Java.
- Passing parameters.
- Calling Java from RPG.
- The D-specs that support Java calls.
- Converting between RPG and Java data types

Joe Pluta is a principle at Pluta Brothers. He has written a host of books including several on WDSC.
And also writes regularly for MC Press Online, which features his Weaving Websphere column.
He is a frequent contributor to Midrange.com, as well as a member of the OMNI board of directors.
